Handcrafted Colorado art tile trivet featuring authentic clay construction with cork backing to protect your surfaces. Each 6x6 piece is individually hand-painted, bringing unique artistic character to your kitchen or dining space.  Decorative accent that celebrates local artistry and craftsmanship.

Materials + Construction

These tiles are hand-pressed bisque-fired clay, onto which a design is added using the age-old Cuerda Seca technique. This creates a wax 'fence' to build boundaries into which separate colored glazes are hand-applied before the tile is fired. After firing, the tile is left with a rich, stained-glass relief effect. A cork backing is then added for use as a trivet or easy display on an easel.

Meet the Maker

Carly Quinn is a unique artist based in Tucson, AZ who focuses on bright and beautiful Southwest-inspired clay tile designs. She started making her own hand-glazed tile murals in her studio and gallery in Tucson and has been expanding and designing more beautiful tile trivets, address numbers and other tile art ever since.
She has been featured in magazines such as Conde Nast Traveler, Tucson Lifestyle and Phoenix home and Garden. She is a member of the Taliesin West Artisan Collaboration Collection.
