Mission-style furniture is a branch of the Arts and Crafts movement made popular by the revolutionary furniture maker, Gustav Stickley. Our furniture is all handmade by expert craftsmen who understand how to get the most out of a piece of wood. Mission style revolves around simplicity, and the pieces are traditionally made with solid American white oak, though red oak, cherry, maple, and walnut woods are all used often. Because of the history of the style (which is drawn from the Arts and Crafts movement and was a reaction to the overly ornate designs of the late 19th century), you won't see a lot of ornamentation on mission-style furniture. Still, you can rest assured that every piece in our collection is handcrafted with love and is beautiful enough to complement any house.
