Doug and Nelda Lay and their family have been operating the Persian Carpet company in Durham, NC since 1976. Modern Bungalow has been fortunate to work with them and bring their fine craftsman collection to our customers since 2004.

    We love Persian's designs with classic Craftsman colors and motifs like the Ginkgo (in sage on oatmeal and vice-versa) and the Oak Park. 

    The Persian Carpet uses 100% New Zealand wool in all of their designs, hand-knotted with a density of 50-80 knots per inch. Swiss Chrome dyes provide color fastness and consistency from dye lot to dye lot.

    The styles shown are typically in-stock at Modern Bungalow or Persian's US warehouse, so they can be delivered in 1-2 weeks. If you'd like a custom size, please contact us and we will give you a quote for price and lead time.

    As with all of our hand-knotted rugs, if you like a pattern and would like to see it in your home, just purchase a 2'x3' size and keep it for as long as you like.
