Tiffany Lotus Ornament
Leaded-glass lampshades with patterns derived from nature are probably Louis Comfort Tiffany's (American, 1848–1933) best-known products. In his table lamp with lotus shade (1904–15) in The Met collection, lotus blossoms in opalescent and textured glass cascade down the bell-shaped shade. The Met Museum has adapted this cloisonné ornament from this dazzling lamp.
Each blown-glass ornament catches light uniquely, which may affect the intensity of color.
- Cloisonné enamel on blown glass
- Includes gold ribbon for hanging
- 3'' diam.
- Polish with a soft, dry cloth
