Tiffany Grapevine Ornament

Metropolitan Museum of Art Store

  • $48.00

Louis Comfort Tiffany (American, 1848–1933) revived and revolutionized the art of stained glass. This elegant Cloisonné ornament features details adapted from Grapevine, a magnificent Favrile glass window in The Met collection. Produced by Tiffany Studios about 1902–1915, the original window (one of a pair) features lush grapes and vines entwined on a rectilinear trellis.

Each blown-glass ornament catches light uniquely, which may affect the intensity of color.
