Kayaking at Glacier Bay Framed
This limited-edition block print is designed by Yoshiko Yamamoto and letterpress-printed by hand at The Arts & Crafts Press. It shows a lone kayaker against the backdrop of the grand, pristine landscape of the famed National Park. The image was originally created by Yoshiko for a book "Paddling North" (2012), written by Audrey Sutherland, published by Patagonia.
The block print frames are made by Dard Hunter Studios in Ohio using quarter-sawn white oak. Mortise-and-tenon edges, Craftsman Oak finish, Black Shadow Mat.
Limited edition of 240 prints.
Yoshiko Yamamoto employs traditional ukiyo-e techniques for her limited-edition block prints, which are hand-printed one color at a time on an antique Vandercook printing press. Learn about her process here.
