Gustave Serrurier-Bovy Mill Clock
This clock is an impeccably detailed reproduction of a mantel clock by Gustave Serrurier-Bovy, a Belgian contemporary of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and founding contributor to the Art Nouveau aesthetic. Just a few examples of the original 1905 pendulum clock exist outside of museum collections. Our expert clockmaker has followed the construction of the piece in exhaustive detail, including:
- Lacquered brass face
- 24k gold plated numbers
- Westminster chime
- 60 miniature brass screws
- Tapered brass accents on sides
- Blue patinated copper on face and hands
- Solid brass pendulum
The attention to detail and appreciation for the craftsmanship of the original piece make for an exquisite showpiece.
Quantity extremely limited, lead time approximately 4 months.

Modern Bungalow is one of a privileged few outlets able to showcase work by Mike Thomas, and the only place you will find his work online. His craftsmanship, mastery of clockmaking, and attention to every single detail make every piece a treasure and an heirloom.
He is meticulous as a clockmaker should be, ensuring perfect alignment of every part in every clock he makes. He sources only the best materials, following through supply chains to find components as the art of clockmaking is lost to generations and parts become more obscure.
We love the tall dragonfly clocks, with their hammered copper faces, quartersawn oak bodies, and classic craftsman motif.
