The Persian Carpet company began designing and importing proprietary hand-knotted wool rug designs in the early 1990s. Inspired by William Morris, the Celtic revival, and American Prairie style, they have developed lasting and timeless designs to be woven in a 5 step process described here.
We love Persian's designs with classic Craftsman colors and motifs like the Ginkgo (in sage on oatmeal and vice-versa) and the Oak Park. We also appreciate their collaboration with Archive Edition Textiles (another MB favorite) on the Celtic Knot and Lily Field patterns.
The Persian Carpet uses 100% New Zealand wool in all of their designs, hand-knotted with a density of 50-80 knots per inch. Swiss Chrome dyes provide color fastness and consistency from dye lot to dye lot.
The styles shown are typically in-stock at Modern Bungalow or Persian's US warehouse, so they can be delivered in 1-2 weeks. If you'd like a custom size, please contact us and we will give you a quote for price and lead time. UPS ground shipping is free on all rugs. As with all of our hand-knotted rugs, if you like a pattern and would like to see it in your home, just purchase a 2'x3' size and keep it for as long as you like. We will ship in a reusable carton and when you're ready, you can "trade up" and receive full value toward the purchase of a larger carpet.
