Quality comes standard on all Simply Amish pieces. All drawers are constructed of solid hardwood, dovetailed at the front and back, and with one piece fronts, so you'll never see glue lines. The SmartSlide system ensures full drawer extension, soft closings, and unobstructed views of the gorgeous construction. The soft close door hinges have a beautiful titanium finish and guarantee a smooth and silent closure every time. No shortcuts here!
Sliding barn door? Yes please! The inspiration for the Montauk collection comes from the eclectic styles associated with Sliding barn doors. This look can be modern, rustic, and everything in between. The plank style, metal accents, and rough-sawn finish (standard, no upcharge on this collection) are the mainstays of this look. We love it in soft maple with a cool barnboard finish.
Simply Amish is the absolute pinnacle of hand-built quality in Amish furniture. Each piece is made from solid hardwood, harvested sustainably and kiln-dried before construction. The wood for each piece is individually selected, sanded with a three-step process, stained the color of your choosing, and finished with the best catalyzed varnish for lifelong protection. All hardware is top of the line, from the full-extension soft close drawers to the butterfly table leaves and custom-made ball bearing slides to open the table with a single hand. For details on how Simply Amish builds and finishes each piece, check out the Simply Amish Collection Page.
When you order Simply Amish with us, your order with your name on it, is sent by buggy from the office to the family who specializes in your particular pieces of furniture. The craftsman who makes your piece will sign it and finish it with a seal with your name and order information. We’ve even had a customer travel to Arcola, Illinois to meet the maker of their furniture!

Care Instructions: The conversion varnish used by Simply Amish creates a durable long-lasting finish. If you spill on it, no worries, just wipe. Only prolonged exposure to moisture will eventually do damage. Keep in mind however, that when you receive your brand new furniture, the finish will still be curing. Be careful in the first 30 days not to place and leave heavy items on your furniture and they may damage the finish. After that, just be mindful to protect surfaces like desks from etching from pen or pencil use with appropriate padding. Also keep in mind that solid wood was once a living thing and will still "breathe". While all of the joinery in these pieces is made to accommodate the natural movement of the wood, we recommend keeping the humidity level in the home at around 35 percent, as very high humidity can cause warping and very dry air can cause shrinking. We include a bottle of Aristo shield with your purchase, and we also sell it in our store and on our website. Aristo shield cleans and dusts your furniture, and protects the surface from scratching. When used regularly, it also reduces dust build-up. Learn more about how to care for your quality solid wood furniture.
