Phil Myer has been designing and building wooden lamps in Michigan since 1973 and left a career in electronics to pursue the art of mission oak lamp building in 1999. His original designs are inspired by antique lamp makers as well as authentic homes such as Bungalows and Tudors.

The wood for each lamp is drawn from private sustainably managed forests throughout the Midwest. The mica shades are genuine mica mined near Asheville, ND and is naturally occurring. All electrical parts are vintage-style reproductions and sourced from US companies.

Each piece is handmade and completely unique, and is hand-signed and dated by Phil.

Ragsdale recommends light dusting from time to time, using your vacuum cleaner's upholstery attachment to dust the mica shade so as to avoid snagging the mica flakes on a dusting cloth. For cleaning of the base, they recommend Formby's Oil Soap.
